Service Dog Presentation, Thursday, February 8 at 12:15 p.m. For ages 60+

Learn about service dogs and what they can be trained to do. 

Valentine’s Day Craft, Monday, February 12 at 12:30 p.m. For ages 60+

Make homemade Valentines in time for Valentine’s Day.

Valentine’s Day Celebration, Wednesday, February 14 at 10:30 a.m. For ages 60+

Celebrate Valentine’s Day with refreshments and Valentines.

Alzheimer’s Awareness and Warning Signs, Thursday, February 15 at 10:30 a.m. For ages 60+

Learn about Alzheimer’s Disease and signs to look for. Co-sponsored by the Alzheimer’s Association.

American Rhythm Dance Group Thursday, February 29 at 12:30 p.m. For ages 60+

The talented American Rhythm Dancers will perform a show based on the theme “Movie Magic.”

March Events and Activities with a February Deadline

New Theatre - Elvis: Aloha from Vegas; Wednesday, March 6 Time: 10:15 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.  For ages 60+

Enjoy a wonderful lunch buffet, followed by the musical, “Elvis: Aloha from Vegas,” which traces the King’s journey through the 70’s. You’ll hear “Burning Love,” “Suspicious Minds,” “Can’t Help Falling in Love,” and more favorites. Deadline to pre-register: Tuesday, February 6th Price: $63

Jefferson City, MOWednesday, March 27, Time: 7:30 a.m. - 6:30 p.mFor ages 60+

Our visit to Jefferson City begins with a tour of the Missouri State Capitol building, followed by an included lunch buffet with salad, pasta, pizza, and dessert along with a beverage at Arri’s Pizza. After lunch, we’ll step back in time when we tour the historic Missouri Penitentiary. Enjoy an included treat from Central Dairy before returning to Independence. Please note that this tour is not ADA accessible. Deadline to pre-register: Friday, February 23rd Price: $143
